Mumbai is a rooftop and podium city. Most new pools we build here sit on a slab, not on soil, which means dead load, waterproofing and drainage decide the design before aesthetics do. We work from the structural consultant's load allowance backwards — light-weight FRP panel shells and reinforced PVC membrane keep a 6 x 3 m terrace pool under a fraction of the dead load of a conventional RCC-and-tile pool.
Salt-laden coastal air and an intense June–September monsoon are the other two constraints. Every Mumbai installation gets marine-grade fasteners, corrosion-protected equipment housing and an overflow/balance tank sized for heavy monsoon dilution, so the pool does not overflow into the deck during a 200 mm night.

Do I have to remove existing tiles before relining?
Usually no. Our reinforced PVC membrane bonds over sound existing tile or plaster, saving cost and time. We only remove tiles if the substrate is failing.
How long does a pool renovation take?
Most membrane re-lining projects are completed in 7–14 days. Larger waterproofing or structural repairs may take 3–5 weeks.

Yes, provided the slab has spare load capacity. Where capacity is tight, we reduce depth or shift to a shallow lounge pool rather than overloading the slab.
How long does pool construction take in Mumbai?
A compact residential pool takes 4–6 weeks, a terrace pool 6–9 weeks and a podium clubhouse pool 10–14 weeks. Society working-hour restrictions and monsoon shutdowns are the usual reasons for the longer end of those ranges.
